Why are people surprised by this. Espn flexes their schedule all the time. They already did it once this season to the Knicks. You have 2 teams who are obviously tanking, and their is a high probability that Melo & Kobe won't play. Let's be real, even if this game was on, majority of people still wouldn't tune it.
