Report Suggests Stalin Was Just One Great Purge Away From Creating Communist Utopia

BALTIMORE—Challenging decades of mainstream academic thought, a group of Johns Hopkins University researchers released a report Tuesday indicating that the late Soviet Union leader Joseph Stalin was only one great purge away from creating a communist utopia. “Our research demonstrates that if Stalin had shipped a mere 100,000 more people to Siberia, the whole communist experiment would have worked out perfectly,” said historian and report co-author Franklin Morrison, adding that all of the USSR’s corruption, hunger, and disease would have disappeared overnight if Stalin had simply been able to let a few million more Ukrainians starve to death. “It’s a shame, because in 1953 the Soviet Union was really on the precipice of becoming a perpetual workers’ paradise devoid of all poverty and want. Unfortunately, Stalin passed away before he could round up just one last group of intellectuals and make them dig their own mass graves.” Morrison also noted that Stalin likely came closer to creating a communist utopia than any other leader in world history besides China’s Mao Tse-tung, who actually achieved it.

Notice how there are never any American produced movies about Stalin .... I assume because the U.S. never fought against the Russians in WW2 aka No American Heroes to put on film......but he is responsible for some say 20 - 25 million Russian deaths if not more.

He was a sick fuuck.....and he wasn't ethnically Russian but Georgian.

1: Most of those deaths were in fact not ethnic russians but Ukrainians (not that that diminishes the atrocities or anything)

2: Most of the Soviet Leaders were NOT russian. The Soviet Union =/ Russia, and the leaders themselves were very conscious about them taking over since they were the majority population. To balance it out Russia actually had the least power and independence of the soviet republics.

3: But youre actually more right than you know. The reason why Americans don't focus too much on the USSR during the second world war is because it would take away all of America's thunder. The Soviet Union was the undisputed victor of world war 2, not only were they the ones that were able to defeat the Nazi's but they actually beat Japan first before the US got a chance to as well. Part of the reason why they dropped the atomic bomb in the first place was to have a decisive end to the war in the pacific before Russia could invade Japan and commit wholesale slaughter/rebuild the country in its communist image.

Thats why the US was so aggressive with its reconstruction of Japan and offered so much financial support to a former enemy

Not defending Stalin, obviously, but if you're interested - most recent research suggests he killed a lot less than he's been credited for.

Hitler vs. Stalin: Who Was Worse?

The total figure of civilians deliberately killed under Stalinism, around six million, is of course horribly high. But it is far lower than the estimates of twenty million or more made before we had access to Soviet sources.

Except Japan embarrassed Russia/USSR. When were the Sockets on the verge of beating Japan? I agree with the Soviets putting in the most work in the European theater.

That's not why some genocides are ignored and others are in constant requiem in this country :sas2:
