According to PWTorch:

EY and Roode both asked for pay raises after the live show this past Tuesday
Head of Talent Relations, John Gaburick said no to both of them
Dixie then backed Gaburick by saying that TNA is now strictly following their current financial and business structure and wouldn't change it for EY and Roode
Dixie also said she would not insult them by making a lowball offer so then EY and Roode asked for their releases which were granted by TNA
The company is looking at EC3 and Drew Galloway as the top guys now

If this is true then Dixie needs a foot up her ass and John Gaburick needs to be fired.

If they can't afford them, they can't afford them.

Weren't they also criticized for giving out huge contracts in the past?

That's exactly what Magnus said they did to him. They broke mayne. :sadcam:

How Much Money Was TNA Willing to Offer Alberto Del Rio?

As we previously reported, Alberto Del Rio recently turned down a big money offer from TNA, as the company wanted to bring him in for its live Impact Wrestling debut on Destination America.

Del Rio ended up turning the offer down and signed with Lucha Underground instead. On the deal offered to Del Rio by TNA, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com said the following:

“They (TNA) offered him $400,000 a year for minimal dates,” Meltzer noted Sunday on the F4WOnline.com message board in a thread about Del Rio joining Lucha Underground. “It says more about the perception in the industry that TNA is a career killer.”

Where'd they get $400,000 from then? :jbhmm:

I don't think they did, to be honest.

“I was going to. We were in talks pretty much the whole time, they just didn’t have the money to pay me. Once they finally got the money to pay me, I was in conversations with WWE already. So I was like ‘I really want to go back to WWE. Sorry guys, thank you for the opportunity, thank you for making all of those efforts to get me but I’m going to go back there for whatever years. Maybe in the future we will be able to do business."

Exactly, they can afford who they want to afford. They offered AJ/Gallows/Anderson big money, but can't afford a slight pay raise for former world champs like EY, Roode, & Magnus? BS

What numbers were roode and young asking for? What were they getting paid on their expiring contract?

I believe Roode's deal was similar to Storm's at 125-150. Not sure about EY

According to Metlzer, Their international TV deals are the only thing keeping them alive at the moment.

I think they got scared of touring due to bleeding alot of money when they tried to tour years ago.

Yeah cause Pop aint paying nothing.

I went back and looked at their 08 schedule and they were doing great business by their standards. 2k-5k fans per PPV in attendance. Good buys, that Hogan shyt hit them like polio

Pay Fatt's skank to walk around and do nothing, but do cough up the money to keep legit talent.

And farming out their signed talent to other companied for a cut of the fee to cover guarantee contracts.

They still sell DVDs; they tend to wait till a wrestler leaves and starts working for WWE before they put them out though.
They did a Sting one when he signed with WWE and they have an AJ Styles one coming out soon.

Yeah but that's few & far between compared to what they used to do.
