I remember watching the press conference live and that doesn't sound like a quote from the actual press conference. Maybe I just remembered it wrong though.

I got that quote from a story on cleveland.com that was published all the way back on 4-20-15

For whatever reason the media just now grabbed on to the quote and tried to make it like TT said lebron was his father figure.

IIRC he actually did at the press conference, that's what I'm sayjng. But now I'm starting to think I just heard it wrong. When I get to the crib I'm gonna try to find the video.

Ehhh..I can kinda see where you are coming from, but I would define that as more like correcting her. Checking is putting somebody in their place because they got out of pocket. I'm not saying you have to be loud and irate BUT you do let that person know that they crossed the line. Just like in relationships..if your girl disrespects you, and you handle the situation like Kyrie did...your girl will try the same shyt again because you didn't check her properly. That passive aggressive shyt is no good when it comes to respect.

excellent post

Its unclear wether he was calling bron his father or not.

To me it seemed like he was just calling him a good father as in a father to his own kids. Or it was a joke referring to the first time they took his quote and ran with it
Yeah, he definitely didn't say "my father", that's for sure.

Try to get a brotha riled up with stupid questions...:scust:

Brotha flips it right back on her and uses his DUKE education and CLASS (instilled in him in some part, by his FATHER) to make HER look like the classless idiot.

Props to that EDUCATED brotha Kyrie:salute:

That she-cac wanted to bring the IGNORANCE outta that brotha, all she got was the EXACT OPPOSITE....

Optimistic But I Got Hands Tho
So when are we going to find out who was the reporter that asked that question?

Marla Ridenour of the Akron Beacon Journal.

She's not really a sports reporter...she was covering for one of the best beat reporters the Cavs have (Jason Lloyd).

She's an idiot.

Cavs in general have pretty horrible beat writers (Joe Vardon, Chris Haynes, Chris Fedor, Bob Finnan)

A good one (Dave McMenamin)

And two great ones (Chris Parker and Jason Lloyd)
