Haiti's President Jovenel Moïse was assassinated while under the protection of a security apparatus "from the United States itself" says Haitian political analyst Patrick Mattelus
The Haitian people wanted the President to leave office but never wanted him killed. "So the discussion needs to be there: Who killed the President? Who ordered the President to be killed?"
Jovenel Moïse had been virtually silent for a month before his assassination, even in the aftermath of the massacre of 17 people in Delmas 32. "Where was the President?" asks Patrick Mettelus.
Patrick Mettelus: I hope the United States doesn't use what happened in Haiti to invade the country.
"The United States has always used the same script and Haiti is their laboratory to see how it goes." "Right now we have more armed gangs than schools. Right now we have more armed gangs than possibilities to eat.." Haitian activist and analyst Patrick Mettelus
The system had no way of replacing Jovenel Moïse. What did they do? The same system killed the President.
