Of course the post criticizing the Democrats gets the most daps in this thread. :mjlol:
In a normal society this kind of news would be food for the opposition party.

But in this country, news like this highlights the democratic party's ineptitude.

And I'm liberal. What are these clowns going to make of this opportunity?

By jamming it with Green Energy they gave some republicans an out that I’m assuming they didn’t think they would be crazy enough to take .

Democrats can say “they voted against cost caps “

Republicans can say “I voted against green energy spending
That’ll take jobs away “

It’s a mess tbh .

If you look at his thread he shows several other Republican Senators who complained about the cost then voted against the amendment.

What's sad is that the amendment only needed 3 more Republican votes to pass. There are 3 Republican Senators who are retiring this year so they could have voted for this. But even when you're retiring its still politics above all else I guess.

Hilarious.

So speak against it publicly where 100% of the republican voters will hear you, then vote against it private where only a small % of the hardcore voters will check to see who voted against it.

The majority of white Republicans in the south are probably the ones needing insulin

So here's the thing now...

Are the Democrats going to go EVERYWHERE on a media tour and constantly talk about how Republicans are against capping prices on medicine?

Get the message out. Repeat it constantly. Buy ads on conservative networks and websites and let people know that this is what Republicans stand for.

....but nah, they're not gonna do that. They're gonna hope that some celebrity saves them the way Jon Stewart's rant saved the PACT bill.

:aicmon:
There is the other side of this:

"Why are the whining instead of doing something about it?"
Ignoring they don't have the votes.

"Ah, they can't ever do anything even though they have all the branches."
Ignoring that they don't have the votes.

Then that assumes the media will cover Dems saying this. Independent media does. I have noticed a pattern of mainstream media shying away from the most meaningful topics but Dems still get blame...when you can literally go on their campaign websites, or any number of non-cable media sites and get their takes on stuff. At this rate its like arguing "Nobody makes good hiphop anymore" and basing that on you only listening to the radio.

They view black and brown people as a bigger threat than their diabetes :manny:

Although I'm sure TLRepublicans will still passive aggressively support the GOP too.

The reason I dapped the post is because its so frustrating to see how awful Democrats have been at messaging.

The last week and a half has been huge for Biden and can lead to a political resurgence.

-CHIPS Act passes Congress, which will throw $200 billion toward domestic semiconductor production and make America more competitive with China.

-PACT Act passes Congress, which expands VA Health Care benefits for Veterans exposed to burn pit and other toxic stuff.

-Inflation Reduction Act/Baby Build Back Better passes, which allows medicare to negotiate some drug prices, $35 insulin cap for those on Medicare, $2000 cap on out of pocket drug costs for people on medicare, 15% min tax on corporations making $1 billion or more and $300 billion in climate change money and provisions.

-Gas prices have dropped for 2 months now and the pattern would suggest that by the Fall we should be in a good price range.

Biden should be getting on the road and promoting all four of the above things at the same exact time in speeches all the way to the midterms. Democrats should be running non stop ads everywhere about the above things.

At the same time him, and Democrats should bury the 43 GOP Senators who voted against $35 insulin cap for private insurance all the way to the midterms.

But Dems are notorious for communication, branding and message failures. Its partly why they are no longer viewed as the party for the working class.

I hope they can get this right, but their record suggests otherwise.

Oh we will for sure hear this ALL the time from the grifters and contrarians after some time passes

Why can’t y’all post any political news without some fakkit posting #bothsides. Everything has to be a political cheerleading event. Well I’m here to tell you, I represent bothsides gang. fukk all these nikkas. nikkas on this board be trying to shame mothafukkas into being democrats. That shyt so weak and p*ssy.

And in regards to the news, this is some fukked up shyt. I just learned not too long ago that the price of insulin shouldn’t be that high and it was basically greed. And they allowed to get away with the shyt smh. It should have never even got to this point smh. These fakkits probably got financial incentive to vote this way and keep it like it is.

Hold up, I thought the insulin thing was attached to the inflation reduction act.

The republican excuse has been that "it passes the buck to people that already have insurance" (which is a dumb excuse since pooling money is the main business model for any type of insurance company)
