i keep trying to explain to people that republican voters do not vote against their best interests, they vote against the "others".... republican politicians know how to craft bills that only help their constituents while shytting on people that didn't vote for them.... democrats write laws for everybody, because they believe the rules should apply to everyone.... republicans craft rules based on "who".... republican politicians aren't going to let their voters suffer, they are going to shift the burden of this calamity onto democratic voters...

a slight correction on how that quote came about. he wasn't asked about poor and middle class white republicans or anything like that because the people he was referring to weren't even republicans yet (that came later with the dixiecrat shift to the republicans after civil rights). the quote came about after he saw some ugly racial epithets on signs during his motorcade in tennessee. they were made by dixiecrats and the base of the wing of the democratic party that he was once a leading voice for two decades, so he knew their mentality.

So I've been reading a couple a books lately about environmental racism and the common theme is that hazardous facilities and public health disparities almost always occur / are located near communities of color meanwhile in areas white people tend to live in, they are significantly less likely(almost no risk) to be exposed to the by product of a toxic environment.

I dropped a thread on this content a week ago.

Environmental Racism: Nationwide Black Children at Risk to Neurotoxins

So, when it comes to healthcare or the social safety net, or doing something about climate change, we can't afford it.

But when it comes to protecting these white rural voters from the consequences of their own actions, money is no object. :beli:

I didn't think it was even possible for it to go any lower, but my respect for these people just keeps plummeting. From the perspective of keeping their voters happy I guess it makes sense, but ethically and fiscally this is hypocritical garbage.
theyve never really had ethics or cared about fiscal responsibility. they always bytch about the deficit and then get in office and send it through the roof

Funny thing is this wasn't something that started with Bush, it goes all the way back to Reagan...

We have almost 40 years of data that proves "fiscal republican" is just another way of say con man...And it doesn't matter how many times you show their voters numbers to back it up they still keep falling for the "fiscal republican" scam...

Rethuglicans are unethical, morally corrupt and morally bankrupt cheap suit crooks...

TEA PARTY MOVEMENT
February 18, 2009 - January 20, 2017
Here lies a racist group of people who pretended to care about fiscal issues in an attempt to hide their obvious racism.

I never knew 2 people could share the same dream.

I remember dreaming about bootstraps and deficits since 2008. Now that I’m awake I’m seeing tax cuts and bailouts. Ain’t life funny?

And guess whose footing the bill for this?

BLUE STATES because we're the only states (only red exception is Texas) that make money for this fukking country...

My tax dollars going to help these fukking inbred retard cave beasts that put themselves in this situation by voting for a con man...

This is why I 100% support secession...

If it comes up on a ballot in NY I will be first in line to vote...

Secession? I guess you didn’t hear the Tea Party cry. Secession is only the beginning. And this time you shouldn’t let the confederates in. They should be ...

We can bailout farms, financial institutions, automobile companies for billions if not trillions of dollars. Bailouts which are responses to irresponsible policies which are self-inflicted. Spending money we don't have and aren't guaranteed to go back into the economy. But reparations? Somehow that can't be done. :martin:
There’s no political appetite for that. :troll:

How much was free college again? 68 billion? I’m just free styling someone pull up the numbers
Bro we had to wait 4 months just to extend CHIP funding :mjlol:

The Congressional Budget Office has previously estimated that it would cost the federal government $800 million to extend the CHIP program for another five years.

Y'all trumptards still blaming obama???

Shyt, it’s almost like we as Black people need this kind of blind faith in our Black elected leaders in order to succeed in this fuked up world. These backwards-ass saltines in this video STILL don’t blame that bum fuk Chump for their misfortune...and that’s about the 10th video I’ve seen like that from different parts of the country. Fukin unimaginable...they must share the same down-syndrome brain...Go from living comfortably to being homeless and starving for a cracker that just as soon piss on you than look at you...
