In Buenaventura there's a community who was first attracted to Islam through NOI do-for-self rhetoric and eventually embraced sunnah after one of them followed Malcolm X's example and made hajj.

In reality Muslims don’t see it that way, hence the Arab Slavetrade and continued hostility towards indigenous African religions by Muslims.
