What was the consensus on Code Veronica back in the day? I never played it and I was kind of holding out on Capcom doing a remake. They just seem to hit it with and focus on other games.

Code Veronica was the highest rated RE game when it dropped. Now it gets retroactively shytted on for whatever reason. Top 5 RE game imo.

Looking at it now, it took the series in a way over the top direction and had some major flaws. But it also had a really good atmosphere and some good segments, it's perfect for a remake imo.

I played the RE1 Remake late 2023 and graphically that game aged like fine wine. Those backgrounds look amazing.
A remake in the RE2 Remake style might be the GOAT Resident Evil game.

That GameCube version was a HD version with stun grenades and tank controls. Y’all know this is gonna be an over the shoulder game making it a completely different experience.
