Its so many skips in this game was watching a professional speed run how the fukk people already beating this in 2.5 hours

Man ranks being tied purely to time is type trash tbh.
Its like you got to actively look gor ways not to engage enemies when they combat is the best part of the game.
I doubt I ever get a s+
I think S+ is really for Ng+ runs.

Nah, higest you can get on NG+ is an S rank, S+ is only possible on a fresh run, but you’re able to use special weapons so people are speed running the village while doing all of the merchant requests, then trading the 30 spinels they have at the start of the castle to buy the special upgrade ticket with the merchant to unlock the chicago Sweepers infinite Ammo and using that for the rest of the run
On the subject of that gun, it’s still really useful, but they have nerfed it’s damage through the floor compared to the original
That 5.5 hour time limit professional run for S+ is wild.

One cool wrinkle in the new game is Ashley reacts a lot to how your doing - if your missing shots or close to death she starts screaming and crying

I'm playing on Hardcore and yes the movement can be a bit irritating during close quarter combat against tough enemies. Overall though, my enjoyment of the game compensates for its flaws.
I do like how they have Leon pull the pistol inwards in a centre axis position at really close range though instead of just aiming straight past the enemy like any other game would do, I’m aware he obviously didn’t invent that but it reminds me of John wick, that cutscene where he pulls the slide back one handed seems like a cool nod to John Wick too
