Same, the last couple of mainline entries lost me with the first person Ethan winters bullshyt.

The most fun I’ve had with resident evil is the 2 and 4 remakes

Yeah I wasn't crazy about the last 3 entries of Resident Evil. I had no idea what Capcom was doing w/RE 6 and the first person gameplay for Resident Evil 7 & 8 was no good. I'm not a fan of first-person gameplay I rarely play those types of games. The best thing Capcom did was go the remake route with its older games.

Games for me are a power fantasy I want to feel strong or like I’m becoming more powerful.

Being a weak ass bytch with no toolset just is t fun for me

Really looking forward to this game. I'm not crazy about splitting up the game play between both characters but interested to see how balanced it is and how much it flips back and forth.

On another note I'd love another Evil Within game.

Finally copped a PS5 a couple weeks ago, ran through RE2 remake and halfway through RE4 remake now in preparation

Can’t lie the 2 villains they showed so far. Are kinda meh…especially after 7 and 8’s villains. Hopefully I’m wrong.
