I agree re0 sucks but Capcom has the right thinking:
Gauge interest in classic RE games
REmake HD was a hit, get more sales from ignorant customers that dont about 0
They desperately need money and a remaster of an already beautiful game from two gens ago that no one played has a possibly high profit margin
Use the profits to fund RE2make
Its not a good game but it has reasons to be remastered
