87 baby here.....That era of DMX, Mase, Jay-Z, Juvenile etc playing on MTV/BET was incredible. And X was the biggest star of the bunch

The first time I heard of DMX was on the hook on one of the first tracks of Mase's album and wondering "Who is this? ". Then, of course, X was on later in the album with a verse on 24 Hours to Live and it was one of those moments I was like "I gotta remember this name for the future". Of course, I didn't really have to remember it because he made his name known to everyone with Get at Me Dog and Ruff Ryders Anthem real soon and he just became one of the biggest stars ever
