Restaurants asking for tips on to go orders

I ordered Vietnamese takeout yesterday. A $4 tip was automatically added to my order. Smmfh. And don't get me started on when I visit Atlanta

so I’m going to pick it up and take it out and they still want a tip? I paid for the food and went to pick it up how was served? I did the non-cooking effort at I tipping the cook?

Actually... you should get a tip for delivering it to the customer.

I wouldn't patronize any business that pulls this kinda stunt. if u want more money raise the prices. do NOT nickel and dime me on bullshyt fees.

I go to this smoothie shop to grab one then bounce, and card reader be giving tip options

I always tip when dining in somewhere and good service, but for takeout? fukk out of here

I got no problem tipping for sit down service with a waiter. they bringing u shyt and accomodating ur needs.

takeout, they just putting food in a container. should I tip at kroger for groceries too since everything there is already in containers?

What makes this so crazy the person or persons that would deserve this tip usually won’t get one cent. The actual fukking cook. What I look like giving u 5 to $10 tip just for u not to put my silverware and napkins in the bag :

And I feel like if I tip before I even get my meal, they should throw some extra food up in that container too..

plus nowadays I notice certain restaurants don’t even give you as much food for takeout as they would when you‘re dining in smh
