JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jaguars and City of Jacksonville have agreed on $63 million in facility improvements at EverBank Field.
City leaders including city council members, Mayor Alvin Brown and Jaguars owner Shad Khan made the announcement inside the team locker room Wednesday afternoon.
Those improvements include video boards at each end zone that will be the biggest in the NFL.
They are slated to be more than 300 feet wide and 50 feet tall.
There will also be a renovated fan area on the north side of the field.
Jaguars president Mark Lamping says any costs over the projected amount will be paid for by the Jaguars, not taxpayers.
Khan is putting $20 million of his own money toward the project.
The new features are scheduled to be complete by the start of the 2014 season
