Yeah
This is the moment where I saw hard evidence of what Nas was trying to get across in ether. It's so amazing to see how quick that dikk riding fakkit Jay left Irv and em for dead when 50's popularity began to bubble in 02-03. Even 50 himself commented about how Jay, out of pure fear, went no where near Ja&Irv to avoid being 50's next target. Then a couple of years later, when 50's popularity had flat-lined because he was putting out pure trash, Jay has the nerve to say nobody is scared of 50...camel, you were shaking in your boots in 03, ready to retire and shyt. fukking clown.
So true and funny at the same time

Jay stopped fukking with Irv for a bit because Murda Inc started messing with Nas
Not according to Irv Gotti. Jay stopped fukking with them before the whole Nas thing sparked up. I assume it had to do with jealously over Ja's success, but that's for another discussion.

I messed with Nas because Hov kept turning me down,” shared Irv of his reasons for going with Nas. Irv explained later in the interview that his frustrations that Jay-Z didn’t immediately latch on to a failed Murder Inc. tour plan fueled his pursuit of Nas with Steve Stoute‘s introduction linking the pair" - Irv Gotti

Jay-Z also outsold 50 and G-Unit at their height when released the same day.

Jay stopped fukking with Irv for a bit because Murda Inc started messing with Nas, and even tried signing him, which in turn burned them because Irv said himself that as soon as it was time to sign the paperwork, Nas just disappeared on them. Irv said in retrospect that he should have never did that cause him and Hov's relationship was never the same after that.

Jay-Z also outsold 50 and G-Unit at their height when released the same day.

As for the shoes, the S Dots were dope because of the Gucci resemblance, but the G-Unit joint ms were always ugly to me.

Yeah, I knew about Hov turning them down for a tour, and Ja asked why he chose to go on a tour with those white boys (Sprite Liquid Mix Tour) over his nikkas, he told Ja to never ask him anything about his business again.

It's weird that that was the reason for Irv to mess with Nas, as Irv was the one who recorded Super Ugly for Hov. You can even hear him laughing on the record.

Quote the whole thing

"“It ruined me and Jay a lot,” said Irv Gotti of Nas potentially signing to the Murder Inc. imprint. During the time of the reported deal, Nas and Jay-Z were embroiled in a heated war of words culminating in Nas’ blistering dis track “Ether” and Jay-Z’s “Super Ugly” response. However, Irv Gotti revealed that his interest in Nas was deeper than the Queens borough they both proudly represented."

Jay-z denied a tour with them, Irv got mad and ran to Jays enemy. There was plenty of huge rappers, bigger than Nas that he could run to but he ran to his mans enemy. And then after that Nas's manager ran to his enemy (Jay) and they set up this Reebok thing with him and then for 50. It was a lot of high school shyt going on back then and nothing had to do with being afraid of 50 cent.

Why would I quote that part when I wasn't denying the point being made in that snippet? If you read my post it should be obvious that my intention was solely to explain what made Irv hook up with Nas(Jay-Z started acting unloyal). Which means that there was no reason for me to cite the part about Irv regretting his actions in hindsight, since that is a completely different matter.

I'm sorry, but you haven't convinced me of anything, since you didn't supply the reasons for why Jay denied the tour. That missing detail is crucial to the conclusion that you're attempting to draw.
