Im speaking in more terms of this being a trap game. After a big win to start the season against the giants last year, most cowboy fans (and players most likely)looked at seattle as an easy win only for us to get smacked. Granted, both our defense and offense didnt show up that game. Kc is much improved this year and this game wont be easy. Our offense has to score points and get out in front early so smith cant just manage the game.

On a side note...

I was in love with the Mo Claiborne pick on draft day, and i know CB is one of the toughest 2-3 positions to excel at right away, but i'm starting to get annoyed with my dude. He really hasn't showed me much, and on top of that he's always getting hurt. For a late round pick, this wouldn't bother me as much, but he was what...the sixth overall pick? I like Mo, and i think he has all the tools be special, but ima need him to show me something this year.

How yall feel about this?

Well Claiborne was the consensus number 1 corner in the draft so i cant get mad at the pick by saying it was a bad one. Problem is claiborne is a press cover corner and were playing tampa-2 now which means slant routes all day. Exactly what happened when we played the giants

I hated it. Said so immediately after the pick on the sohh draft thread. that was a deep draft. we could have solified two positions, instead we got a brittle cb who is scared of contact. typical cowboys, never emphasizing the physical part of the game when acquiring talent.

Oh i definitely didn't think it was a bad pick, i'm just getting to that point where i'm like "ok.........so what is Mo Claiborne?"

Maybe i'm being a little hasty, but with Scandrick (slot) and Webb (small, slot, rookie) as our only other options, i'm counting on Mo to be great if we're gonna do anything this year

Ehh, he's always been pretty physical at the line and in run support, his tackling technique just needs work in my opinion.

:comeon:

when has he been physical in run support? on the line he'll let his man get inside of him for the slant all the time.

I shoulda been more specific. He was physical all the way around at LSU

I definitely wouldn't say he's scared of contact.

Yeah, besides it being on the road, and being week 2, i don't see a comparison. Seattle is one of the hardest stadiums to play in, and they were clearly better than this Chiefs team. Either way, can't take any opponent lightly.
Game 2 of last season, nobody knew Seattle would be the team they turned out to be.

And Arrowhead is one the most loudest crowd in the league.
