Theres no such thing as GOAT of an era. Youre only a GOAT if your greatness encompasses All Time. GOAT of an "era" is an oxymoron. He aint a GOAT. He's just one of the best DBs in recent years.

Top 20 isnt GOAT status. Top 5 to Top 10 max. Good luck with that though. No corner that cant handle man consistently can ever be in the GOAT conversation.

What was he supposed to say? He didn't make exuses or run and hide or point at someone else....he addressed it head on and pointed the finger at himself.
Of course its subjective. Everything about a GOAT conversation is subjective. Theres often not a right or wrong answer with the exception of a few. Its just a matter of agree or disagree.
And I didnt dictate how you respond, I simply made a request in how you respond in a particular way. Its why I said "please".

Thats the problem with being somebody that talks alot of shyt. When you get humbled, there really isnt anything to say. Its just an L to take. If you say something, you give all credit to your opponent and be more self deprecating than he was....or again, dont say shyt.

If he didn't say shyt then that would have been weak. You can't pop shyt when you are winning and then run and hide when you lose. I'm not sure how much more self-depracating you can be than "I wasn't good enough". You had a $30 mil a year QB that couldn't complete a HS throw with the game on the line and he was so bad that the team was running on the 2 minute drill and yet he put the focus on himself when honestly he could have just slid out with the church finger up while everyone focused on the QBs and head coaches. He has gotten on my nerves to but I respect him for owning it.
His response is just as weak as not saying anything to me. "I wasnt good enough" is in fact, not enough. He doesnt have to try and be humble at all but if you do, you do it it better than that. I remember when we lost a tournament when I was playing ball and I was talking mad shyt about the team and a specific player, Quennell Green. I got humbled because he was just as good as me but bigger than me, bigger than I thought. Afterwards i could've said nothing but I got up and said ''I was talking hella shyt and I went out there and got manhandled. Dude is a beast. That was a good game though, they nice."
To me, thats how you respond if you in this situation at minimum if you are trying to be humble after running your mouth. I talked alot of shyt in sports. Especially football because I was better at that than almost everyone else (basketball not nearly
) but I did it because it made the game more fun for me. i will talk a ot of shyt but when I got fukked up, i would be the first one to say "Yall see breh truck the shyt out of me? fukk that nikka. ". I stay running my moouth cause I was nice but I actually had alot of friends on other teams for the same reason. That shyt was fun. Dude I mentioned earlier that cooked my ass in the basketball tournament ended up being a good friend of mine. Me, him and Shareef Abdur-Rahim little brother Mo, ran 3on3 tournaments together for a couple years after that fateful day of me getting put on the summerjam screen.
