He'll be 29 by next year. Me n Revis born the same year...He's entering the danger zone age for corners, especially coming off an ACL tear.
Bucs played a lot of zone. That could be because of Schiano's mismanagement (entirely possible), or the Bucs might have realized he doesnt have the physical ability to be "Revis Island". Again, I DIDNT say he was washed, I said he was still good...what I am saying ONCE AGAIN is that he's aging and hes not the prime pre-ACL injury player he once was YEARS ago. Is he supposed to stay elite forever and ever? His best days are done, and as a Jets fan Im not trippin that hes going to the Pats. Enjoy.

Corners can still be highly effective into their 30's. Charles Woodson won defensive player of the year when he was like 32-33. Deion, Darrell Green, Rod Woodon, etc. etc. all played at a very high level in their early 30's. This is why I said you're getting caught up in hyperbole, he'll be fine.

ACL injuries haven't been shyt in the last decade...Plenty of players have recovered nicely, Revis being one of them...There was nothing in his game last season that showed a decline in speed or lateral movement and he played in a system that did not cater to his style of play...

I'm tryna figure out when 28-29 became "old" for most every position in the league except RB. Revis is squarely in his prime as an athlete, and his second year back from his ACL should be a complete return to form. 29 is not old in the NFL unless you toting the rock 30 times a game as a featured RB.
Oh yeah...only considered one of the greatest athletes of all time. Lets use him as a standard...
