it depends.

I mean, the pistons didnt need an SF. the weakest spot for the pistons was the PF, before the trade for sheed.

but its too much of a reach to take bosh at #2. so you look at the SF.
and taking melo over wade aint that much of a reach.

I wonder, did the pistons draft darko because of the hype? or did they think he could start at the four or move big ben to the four?

cuz I knew dude was gonna be a bust beforehand.

if they wanted to sew up the frontline so bad, then they should've traded down for bosh.

it all worked out at the deadline tho.

Wade obviously had the better career but Melo is a hall of famer too.

Put him in the right organization and his career would be much different. Plus Melo fit better with the pistons because of his shooting ability

Melo was great in his prime but he was always a borderline top 10 player from 07-12(finally broke in 2013) while Wade from 06-11 was a top 5 player ... It’s levels to this bro

Melo would have been a better fit on that Pistons team than Wade. They needed a legit #1 scorer who could play with his back to the back but score from the perimeter. Melo was that. Sucks for Melo.

I don't agree with a lot of those choices, but good stuff.

a top 10 player for 10 years
vs.
a top 5 player for 5 years & top 10 for the other 5

not that wide of a gap, especially when the top 5 player's position is already sewn up.
plus the top 10 player is the better fit.​
