Even though Korver had a top 10 career for this class. It was have been an absolute fail taking him in the top 10. Some players need a lot more time to adjust to the NBA. I honestly fel that a lot of busts have happened due to being rushed into PT

I don't agree with a lot of those choices, but good stuff.

a top 10 player for 10 years
vs.
a top 5 player for 5 years & top 10 for the other 5

not that wide of a gap, especially when the top 5 player's position is already sewn up.
plus the top 10 player is the better fit.
I agree that he would be a better fit with the Pistons since Tayshaun wasn’t even really looked the same during the day of the draft but I personally just think Wade was a better player than Melo:yeshrug:

sorry but whoever was going to be the #2 pick was gonna rot on the bench

Larry Brown hated rookies and Melo or Wade would have had that same interview like Darko did years later about the other rookies getting a chance to shine :manny:

Man, woman, and child
Wades 6 years of dominance >>> Melos whole career .. people really forget how amazing Wade was
Yea but coming out of college Melo was clearly the better player. In fact he would've went number one if not for Bron. He was the best player in the country. Everyone was shocked he didn't go 2

It wasn't a shock to anyone who were following the mock drafts back then. Most had Darko going number 2.

Larry would play them. Melo and Wade are of a different pedigree.

thats in hindsight. we know that now and maybe back then with melo ill give you. But this is a good what-if scenario with whoever would have gotten drafted be the Pistons
