Peeps,

Which do you feel is better? To me, hands down, I take Distant Relatives. imo, Nas and Damien touch a ton of subjects and offer thoughts and ideas on how to move those of African descent, forward. To me, with Watch The Throne, I didn't get that or really anything of significance other than just music, that I wasn't really feeling. I am not a Jigga hater, fyi, I didn't feel the Watch The Throne album like that.

So, I choose Distant Relatives, by about a hundred miles. They aren't even in the same atmosphere.

DR has a little more timeless. WTT was great when it came out then it got played out. Promised Land came on my playlist yesterday and I was totally vibing. I haven't heard it in awhile and I forgot how good it was.

Only song that's still enjoyable off DR is land of promise :rudy: Nas was straight :flabbynsick: throughout the album while Damien shined, still a lot of songs were corny or some
Next level smart dumb nicca music

Edit - Patience was the shxt too

:heh: Only on the-coli do you ever see this dud continously try to get compared to WTT. DR was a CD long hit or miss fest with corny try hard inspirational bullshyt filtered throughout

not that WTT was perfect or anything but WTT's bonus tracks alone > that album

Disagree. The Gawd came correct on friends, in his own words, dispear, etc. Not to mention he slaughtered strong will continue and leaders. Damian was on some other shyt though..

I give the edge to DR personally. WTT was one of my fav albums of 2011 though. Good comparison.

The Nas vs. Jay-Z comparisons will never stop will they :shaq2:

it's like the moment Ether dropped, it had the same effect as the A-bomb dropping in hiroshima, they still are feeling the effect ala Leukemia and other harmful shyt that the bomb's long lasting effect left.. smh :scusthov:

You know what, for the longest time I just refused to listen to Distant Relatives because I saw Damian Marley and pictured some "welcome to jamrock" type shyt with Nas rapping. Someone send me that.
