Example :

You walked a mile for the first time in weeks so you make a pitstop at the Dunkin’ Donuts and “rewarded” yourself with a 500 calorie drink

You visited a gym for 30 mins kinda bullshytting, kinda worked up a sweat so you “reward” yourself with a 700 calorie double cheese burger

:unimpressed:

Especially when there’s a lot of healthy food options that taste good.

But then again, it’s not the food. It’s the dopamine sensation you get from eating the bad stuff.

You can eat a big ass salad end feel full or satisfied, but you do feel high. You don’t feel like sleeping.

Word. There’s a nasty undercurrent of people that have no idea how to feed themselves and are bordering on disordered eating.

People fast for 3 days because they indulged in a shrimp Alfredo IV drip for the last three days but because they aren’t throwing up they don’t think there’s an issue.

people hear about how companies make good super palatable to the consumer to get em to keep coming back and blindly become a life long patron of multiple restaurants with reckless abandon

:blessed: Putting in work in the gym and eating clean during the week. Boy I worked hard for my cheat day.
This thread is for YOU :picard:

You need a cheat day every week?
How many extra calories are you consuming on your cheat day above your Monday-Friday average?

Strength training isn’t burning more than like 250 calories an hour and cardio machines are wildly off in their calculations.
