Get Down? not cohesive the whole way through but it's two verses of really good storytelling

it's not like the airtight Biggie or Slick Rick stories for sure, different style

What is so great about I got a story to tell. I mean, a nikka robbin another nikka, what was so great about it, it wasn't even that funny only for Biggie and his nikkas. It was well executed though, but that's it. This song only got praise because of the titled, it biased fans to think this was comparable to the slick rick stories. To me Gimme the loot was far better because of the innovative format.


To me I gave you power, undying love or drunk by myself are great because theses songs move people. Kinda like Immortal Technique's Dance with the devil and you never know, two of the greteset storytelling songs I have ever heard.

i don't see how people can nas doesn't have great stories. he was only outdone by maybe biggie in that category, and even that's arguable.

i think "just another day in the projects" would have been even sicker than ny state of mind had he wrote it over with illmatic caliber lyrics.
