U dont remember how it ends?..that's ur fukkin issue dog cause it had a beginning Middle and end that was completely coherent....at the end he felt shortly was too greedy and money hungry and he didn't trust her and if they did get caught he would get mad time while she would basically get off...so he switched up the original plans..and set it up where he killed her by replacing coke with crushed glass and she snorted it...he then made a run with the money...

Millie Pulled a Pistol on Santa is a great story. I remember all the characters and the ending. Even naming what i assume was a black or PR girls' dad 'Dylan' seemed interesting to me at the time.

raekwon is dope, just at times his stories are a blur(spot rushers until near the end).

fantasy land or not, it's still better than any prodigy story in terms of story telling, as is undying love, i gave you power, one love, etc. prodigy is a pro at that hard murder shyt, but don't try to take him out of his element because you "relate" more. if you want "real" listen to rise and fall, as real as it gets.

kool g rap's cock blocker is a funny story, eminem shrooms is funny, hell the ending of 260 is funny, prodigy is not funny at all and neither is drink away the pain.

those ice cube joints are classic, but because of when they came out. they weren't really that vivid, and had a lot of generic writing.

Generic writing? i don't agree with that at all. you seem to shyt on the stories of the 80's and early 90's when IMO they posses the key ingredients of great stories. They're memorable, accessible to the layman fan and humorous/crude.

i try my best to incorporate IMO's into my posts. I recognize Nas is a tremendous writer. I just don't think Blaze a 50 is a great hip hop story. It's Nas displaying great prowess with the pen but the actual story isn't one that i'm all that choked up with.

it was the story of what happened to him between illmatic and it was written, so yes a story.

i feel 80s shyt gets overrated because of when it came out. those joints wouldn't have survived in a 94-99 climate at all. also the reason why lupe and elzhi do song like the cheeseburger joint and the dreams joint is because everything else practical has been done already. it's not the 80s where you can spit a generic story about waking up, eating eggs, putting on your coat and going outside and being harrassed by cops, and be called on of the best.
