ESPN Films used to be piff.
ESPN Films, 30 For 30, etc would be far better daily content than the nonstop studio bullshyt you see daily on ESPN. It's clear a lot of people are completely turned off by the combative, disingenuous segments that make up ESPN now. The debates are fake, poorly argued, and just dumb. The shows are largely worthless. It gets better during football, sure. I love Mina Kimes, Orlowsky and the other folks who do those game segments. I'll watch Around The Horn and PTI when I'm cooking. But that's it.
People like watching knowledgeable people talking about stuff, including teaching. One of the reasons Kimes and them are so good is because they explain concepts and ideas. It's fun, and informative for new and older fans; think about all the people who have watched football for decades without ever really learning what a Tampa 2 defense is for instance. I think they should go heavy on that shyt during football season, and then switch to a lot of ESPN Film shyt in the dead period after the NBA Finals.
