The team's record is mostly a byproduct of their schedule and the talent gap. I'm so glad Nelson is gone & we finally have a game changer on the offensive side of the ball.

Rex was essentially the GM from 09-12. The roster and dead money Idzik had to turnover was basically the worst situation in all of football besides the Raiders. Look up the Jets 2012 roster, arguably the worst in football and had Rex's imprint all over it.

His coaching ability isn't related to his ability to pick talent. They're two separate things. If he was the GM then the right move was made in taking those powers away and giving them to Idzik, but 8-8 and 6-10 with those rosters is reasonably good.....and Idzik hasn't been too much better than Rex and that's his primary job.
