Another thing is that most of the premier players in the WNBA are bigs unlike the NBA where it’s mostly guards. While CC is one of the top guards, there will be nights where she’s matched up against mediocre or shorter ones (like Chicago). Angel on the other hand will have a hard matchup every single night. One night it’s A’ja, then Stewie, then Phee, AT, Nneka, Satou, and so forth. The Fever’s frontcourt is 6’5, 6’4 and 6’3.

The problem is basketball comes much easier to Clark than it does Reese. The former understands and knows how to manipulate and control the game on a fundamentals level as a heliocentric combo guard, the latter is more of a “grind it out and hustle” type of player. A QB type like Clark can point the team to where the defense is weakest and attack it in addition to getting her own.
