I understand they had a rivalry in college. But there is no real rivalry at this level. Clark is already one of the best players in the league, Angel is...not good at basketball. Rodman is another hall of fame tier player so I'm not gonna accept that comparison either.

Personally I think Angel is good. She’s got a lot to work on from a skill standpoint, and I think her ambition to be seen as a better player has her trying stuff she’s not ready for skill-wise. But if she never improves she can still be an important piece for a contending team.

My thing is, people clown her for what she doesn’t currently do well, but she’s still taking those shots. She isn’t pulling a Ben Simmons and hiding from the free throw line. She’s working to get better and she ain’t allowing all the people shytting on her impact her confidence. To me that says she has a real chance to get better if she continues to grind.

I think one of her issues is she sometimes invites the scrutiny, which is really just inviting people to spotlight the holes in her game and shyt on her. I also think it gives racists and mysoginists an excuse to do and say really fukked up things about her, because she “asked” for it. “You wanna be the villain? Here you go.” But I also really respect the fact that she ain’t ducking smoke. Don’t be the person they want you to be. Be who the fukk you are.

I get that there's a large group of people who never watched sports but feel compelled to bring their stan culture behavior to this "rivalry" - those people are just stupid and frankly don't know better. They see a flagrant foul and think it's the end of the world. But the people I have disdain for are those who DO know better, including RG3 and all these other sports people on social media who gleefully churn this bullshyt. And worse yet many of them are the same (predominantly white) people who have shyt on the NBA for being soft for years. Yet they see a league that is often has more hard fouls and "athlete hitting the ground hard" moments than the NBA and their first inclination is to...accuse players of hyper violence? Do you want physical play or not.

Also just to be clear, Angel Reece is not Draymond. Draymond is a hall of fame tier basketball player. Angel Reece is not good at basketball and might not be on that team in 2-3 years. This "rivalry" is like Kwame Brown having a rivalry with Pao Gasol...it makes no fukking sense beyond them being in the same draft. The skill levels are vastly different, one player clearly works on her game while the other doesn't, etc. That shyt gotta die because there are actual skilled ballers in the WNBA (who are black) who fit much better as potential rivals.
