Russ comes across like a person who doesn't mix work with personal relationships. He focused on the game and that's it, sorta like how Kobe didn't rock with any of his teammates in LA during his first few years and they thought he was "arrogant". The difference with Russ is he comes across as a big time perfectionist and cares too much about his public image.
