Did anybody really think RG3 wasn't gonna start in 2015? They gave up way too much for him and there's no way he wouldn't get at least 1 more chance considering how many chances guys like Ryan Leaf and JaMarcus Russell got. The difference here is that neither of them had a game anywhere near the level of RG3's 2012 season, much less an entire season, even if RG3's 2012 season was somewhat of a fluke because of the read option gimmick

Oh yeah no doubt, his pocket passing has regressed so much and one of the reasons it was so effective in his rookie season was because the threat of the read option allowed for clean pockets more often. He hasn't been good under pressure since he came back from injury, partially because defenses key into him now that they know he's not as likely to run it, but it's also a mental thing. He doesn't look like he completely trusts his body to not get injured when he runs, so he stays in the pocket more often, but he doesn't exactly have the greatest awareness in the pocket. Defenses have been stacking the box more and more often as a result
