This is what I’m saying. Being a hood rat is a mentality… nothing to do with class, money or education. My family came from a poor background but they carried themselves like dignitaries. Plenty of people in my hood knew how to act like they had sense.

My parents made sure me and my siblings were raised to act right in public. If you’re going to act a fool, you better keep that shyt off camera or out of the public eye.

Then in college, I met plenty of ratchet men and women (but mainly women) who acted like they had no home training. I know women with masters degrees who act like straight trash.

This is what happens when no standards are consistently held. That’s like if a child is used to doing whatever they want in their house but step into a house with a parent who enforces rules the child will feel uncomfortable and feel attacked. But truthfully it’s the best for em.

Realistically one could try to do what the Nation of Islam does and get a small group of people and break off and develop their own code and standard for how they collectively operate.
