.... copped my first Akai box 25 years ago . . had a low-budget set-up with a Gemini mixer and a Lineartech belt-drive table . . .. didnt have a PC so every beat i made was recorded in real-time to tape . . including every hit on each pad and any filters or envelopes .. .. the majority of Craven's work reminds me of when i would finesse a chop in the early-stage and be high as fukk just listening to it loop for minutes at a time .. vibin and using my physical body to come up with the rhythm track yet to be tapped-out . . .. . the drums he put on this track lack any type of swing and have that quantized sound like typical 4/4 Griselda instrumentals. . . . . he was in Cutting-Edge . . but all i see him using is the MacBook . .. . . and instead of him creating a break-beat around the samples .. . it looked like he had a pre-programmed drum-track that he forced the samples into . . .. .. Necro would be proud . . . ..
