And had anbunch of dope keys to play with to layer. So much he said “FIRE!”

Only to tKe ONE note from the arrangement and double up his first bars key and played one note over bare drums…. Which didny even make it sound better.

So checking out his last two projects with Boldy.. I mean he’s not horrible, but he ain’t that great. I found myself getting bored with the one they just put out. I need to do a deeper dive into his production catalog though

....this is his first feature with an established MC back in 2014 . . ... when he was in his "emotional artist" phase .. . aka . . .. just turned 18 and the trust-fund payments started coming in . . . . . like i said earlier . . . . nothing but loops . .. nothin chopped. . . . no physically tappin out drums . . .. . this aint HIP-HOP . . .. i dont give a fukk if Roc Marci is on it - actually i dont even believe this was a true collabo . . .. im guessin he slid an acappela over top one of his soap opera interludes and then sent that CashApp to clear the verse .. . . .

Ok.. after a little bit of a deeper dive, I find myself liking more of the stuff he did with Boldy than anything. I don’t know much about producing and some sound people would have to help me out here.. he used vocal samples a lot and they are loud af that’s not a great mix with Boldy’s style. You can’t have your sample as loud or louder than the rapper. Also he definitely seems like he just finds loops and just strings them together. He has some stuff worth riding to, he also has some moments too.

I’m like why rap over this? shyt makes me wish I would’ve tried to become a producer smh. I had chances but didn’t take them. I be stringing loops along in GarageBand lol
