Don't really see this having THAT big of an effect, ofcourse some dumb nikkas bout to run up in here screamin acting like they know everything. Just like when they changed the charts to adapt streaming and the-coli determined it was the end of music.

its whole albums on Youtube all day everyday.. but I was talmbout views on singles...

but I dont care about it that much.. people support what they want. I dont care

I kind of understand. Artists still make money through steam sites (ads) so counting 100 streams as a download may not be a bad idea but it does open itself to gross abuse (record labels could probably falsify numbers easier...its easy to manipulate vevo/youtube numbers)

Another question as far as youtube/vevo is concerned, do they only count the streams on the artists official page?

Alot of songs are on mulptiple pages each with 10s of thousands of views

Spotify, pandora, and other streaming companies pay for the right to stream music. Those companies then in turn bring in revenue through ads.

yeah, but doesn't shyt like pandora kind of make you a playlist based on 'similar' songs or whatever. it seems to introduce randomness into the equation

Only count the songs posted from the artist main page/verified account and then when factoring views, each individual ip address count as 1 view.
