Russell Westbrook reportedly met with LeBron James and Anthony Davis at James' home two weeks prior to the trade to discuss the three of them playing together with the Los Angeles Lakers.

According to Broderick Turner of the Los Angeles Times, the three players expressed their desire to bring the Lakers another championship by "putting their egos aside." Westbrook talked about "coming back home" to win a championship as well since he is from Long Beach, California.

I think Pelinka is an awful GM but to put that trade on him was a flat out lie and a joke.

Pelinka had a deal for Buddy Hield completed and literally nixed it at the last second because of Bron and nem getting on the line and forcing him to make the Westbrook deal happen.

Reports say he liked the deal too but evidence is clear that he wasn't the driving force.

Also wasn't Rich Paul openly talking about squashing moves that the Lakers were making when it came to Bronny last year? Dude should really just shut up at this point...
