Rich people shouldn’t be taxed more

But the idea that rich, or high income earners in general need to be taxed even more is crazy.

Imo income taxes shouldn’t be a thing at all, but since they are, I believe everyone should be taxed the same rate. Around 10% maximum

The marginal tax rate in 1939 for households of >$5 million was 79%.

That money then funded pensions and other social safety nets for the parents of the boomers who are now trying to destroy them.

There is precedent for taxing the rich more and in every situation, it benefits them and the rest of us

The tax code is so complicated it’s more than just raising and lowering taxes for certain individuals. In no way should a multi millionaire/billionaire be paying less taxes relative to their income than middle or lower class earners. To anyone with a working brain that’s just not sustainable.

So many problems in this country can be traced back to people that have a 0.001 percent chance of ever being rich falling for the idea that with hardwork or that one lick they too can one day be rich and as a result riding for things that benefit the rich rather than themselves...even if its to their detriment. Or the idea that riding with them somehow puts you in on the joke. nikkas have essentially enabled monarchy in a country that was founded based on resistance to it.

There are obvious reasons why this doesn't work. The cost of living is too high for those in the lower tax bracket. Millionaires and billionaires are able to pick up the slack and actually have the most at stake in keeping society running smoothly.

There are many political scientists that already think a complete breakdown of society is possible, driven by increasing inequality across the board.

I do know for Social Security Deferment, everyone has to chip in... per the usual. However there is a cap that applies for everyone, which I think is about $168K. Once you hit the cap you don't put in much more. Warren/Sanders has spoken in the past in removing the cap because obviously Low and Middle Class wouldn't put that much in, but Rich folks would need to contribute more.
