I've always said that taxing the rich more does not shrink the wealth gap. And it never has. It's there to keep the poor being content that "well at least the government is doing something"

All it does is enable the rich to hire expensive CPAs and Lawyers so they can pay 0 taxes. Best way to shrink the wealth gap IMO is

1. Whenever a corporation fails, let them fail. Don't bail them out
2. Create more incentives and subsidies to increase the power of Small Businesses

Odd that the wealthier the wealthy have gotten compared to the rest of the nation also correlate to a drop in the nations education rating.

This affects our skill level and how much we can make as middle and lower class.

This affects our ability to own/control things like farmland, homes, media, stores, supply chain, etc. It also affects time we can devote to family and leisure.

This leads to an unhealthy community due to increased anxiety and emotional issues, which affects relationships.

This causes us to disassociate with community and draw to ourselves, creating less compassion for one another.
