He really wasn't, he was just an innovator in regards to RAW comedy, but alot of his routines were just 2 line set ups. Pryor definitely helped to expand the genre in regards to his style of comedy

Not really. Redd Foxx laid the blueprint, was funnier, and was more innovative. Pryor was just more marketable to a white audience. White people LOVE Richard Pryor. That's the difference
