Stafford performed well this year under pressure. He carried a heavy load in the SB where the lights shined brightest with NO running game whatsoever yet he still found a way..
I still don’t think he’s a HOFer right now. I need at least 3-4 more years of high level play. He needs maybe another SB and he has to take his team to the playoffs with sparkling records. He needs to go 13-4, 14-3 type shyt with numbers in order to be worthy of enshrinement

HoF players elevate rosters…this dude never elevated any team, not even the rams any of the top ~15 qbs would’ve won with this team.
You dudes hopping on a bandwagon and did not watch stafford play, I watched him and like I stated before…no one ever looked at any team Matthew stafford was on and thought “damn Matt is about to kill us“ never once.
Even in the sb he was far from the best performance on the team.
People making these arguments couldn’t have watched him play. Good qbs on bad teams still show out, he actively lost Detroit hella games so cut blaming the talent. Most of his stats came from light defenses in garbage time with him trying to come back because they were out of the game 90% of the time, with most of that due to his inconsistent play….
Is Big Ben a HOF to you? IMO Stafford is a better QB than him. No one ever thought "Big Ben is going to kill us". You always knew he would lose to Brady in the playoffs.
A lot of QBs could have won with having Mike Tomlin, elite WRs and great defenses for their whole careers basically.
So to me if Big Ben is a HOF then by the time he retires, Stafford probably will be too if he remains productive into his late 30s and retires with a winning record in the playoffs.

Big Ben was a much better playmaker and could put the team on his back vs much better comp than stafford ever had and has more accolades vs better comp. Once again, idk how y’all watch football and come up with this stuff.
Even this year he might barely be top 5 by default based on injury and Watson’s absence. Even then I’d rather have Herbert or Burrow.

nah but you have to put it in its correct context. Joe Namath's superbowl win is considered a major turning point in the NFL's history. The first AFC team to win it as underdogs against Johnny Unitas. Plus for what it's worth Namath has the accolades when he payed in the AFC..he deserves to be in the HOF, check his resume

Outside of the SB, i highlighted his accomplishments...that's definately a HOF career imo...now i know some of his numbers might suck, but in terms of being compared to his peers at the time, he was recognized as being a top player for a few years
