I find it interesting that of all of the people who obviously know more than us about the situation, not ONE has taken Martin's side, even though it would benefit them to do so because maybe he would feel welcomed back to the team. Even if they didn't take Martin's side, they could at least stay neutral on the matter, but rather, everyone is vehemently defending Incognito while the media paints a totally different picture of him. It's not like they have any incentive to do so either, considering he'll probably get cut tomorrow and never play for the team again.

I think Incognito is a jackass, but why isn't there a single person actually saying "yea, dude IS a racist bully" like the media wants us to believe? They'd have nothing to lose doing so, he's not their teammate anymore, it wouldn't have any repercussions internally and they'd probably be heralded by the media for coming forward.

and I'd typically be inclined to agree with that, except that Martin was frequently hanging out with Incognito outside of the workplace, presumably voluntarily, even after that voicemail. I saw them partying together multiple times with my own eyes. Incognito wished him a happy bday on Twitter and Martin thanked him publicly. Incognito posted a pic of them sitting next to each other and smiling on a flight. They were seen out together on Bourbon St. and taking pics together with fans.

That's not something you do with someone who is bullying you and threatening you, nor are those things you'd do with someone whose life you've threatened and are constantly bullying.

I just feel like there's gotta be more here that we don't know that would make the players back Incognito, even after the voicemail was made public. I refuse to believe every black player on the Fins would just be cool with Incognito using racial slurs like that, and then go on to defend him anyway.

I'm not buying the story that all these players were scared of Incognito. There's always more then a few alpha males on a football team. If T.O. ( a wide receiver) had no problem stepping to Hugh Douglas and other players, I have no doubt there were other players who would've layed Incognito out if he was tripping. It seems to me that Martin wasn't liked on his team, so no one cared. Which is shytty because when you a squad you should ride together.

I think Cris Carter was right, the fault lies with his teammates. They should've stepped in. And Philbin is to blame. Incognito is done in the league, he'll never play again.

Also these headlines make Mike Pouncey look bad. He's had a bad season with the Hernandez mess and now this.
