And let's be real, all these people up in arms about him being given that pass are still listening to DJ khaled, fat joe, etc who use nikka freely. When we opened that up to basic urban culture, we opened shyt like this up. Dude is being crucified cuz the shyt is on a national platform, but many groups of friends have jokes/behaviors that happened between them that would be just as questionable if put before a mass audience.

The line I don't let ppl cross is non blacks using nikka around me or being called bytch by friends...but I can easily see how these lines aren't there for others, I don't c/s it, but it is what it is
Exactly :manny: You can;t say nothing to football players. You went to Stanford, you know what the game is.

This Martin dude is getting lawyered up for shyt that went down in a locker room. It's as simple as that. He got his feelings hurt and he's taking the entire ship down with him.

Brolic... Alcoholics
Yall fake militants refuse to stay on topic with this subject.

Incognito is already paying a price for his role in this and though his use of the n word may be deplorable, its not the issue here.

Martin separated himself and in football that probably the worse thing you can do in the locker room. He probably felt they singled him out, when in reality and in that culture, he really shut them out.

two things...

1. we kinda know that Martin was the odd quiet cat of the group so as easy as it may have been for him to separate himself from the group, it was just as easy for the group to look at him as a social outcast. it works both ways.

2. The last few pages i have read, people are talking as if football and sports in general is war or some shyt. :heh: that's just funny to me.

Because I didn't really see the relevance, unless you were somehow trying to disqualify me from having an opinion on the topic. Hence me explaining that racism is not uncharted waters for me.
Nobody tried to disqualify you from talking about race, but you made a bunch of half ass assumptions and weak analysis coming from a clearly perspective-lacking place.

You have your right to an opinion on everything but that doesn't mean you're opinion will hold as much weight as someone with personal experience or someone who has studied a particular topic.

Also while you may have experienced racism that doesn't automatically mean you've experienced the same TYPE of racism that someone of another race might have to deal with.

A black person is not going to have to deal with the exact same type of racism that an Asian person will.

I dont let words own me :manny: if the dudes saying it joking around i dont care context means something to me
You're trying to have it both ways, so if he was saying it out of context it would mean something different to you, but you don't let words own you? There is no context in which a white person uses the word nikka/er that is even remotely acceptable. Words have power, you're telling me if a white person called your mother a ****** bytch, you'll just sit back and tell her, "Don't let the words own you ma." :what:

Books, plays, films, historical readings are all instances where it might be contextually important....Other than that minor point I agree with everything you just said.

You can't use the old "They say so we can say it" excuse. Fact is, it's a double standard that white people have to live with. Like I said before, Black people didn't event that word, that word didn't come into America's consciousness when rap music started. Its a word that has been used for centuries, we didn't open it up for anybody. That's just a weak ass excuse for white people wanting it both ways.

So Cal....That's all you need to know
I guarantee white people are more mad about the bullying than him calling him a "half-******". But what's funny is the defense of this fool....

"He's saying it In cool way..." He wasn't, he was purposely using an insulting phrase to do just that - INSULT. if you take the football away from this, is this acceptable behavior AT ALL?

Only ONE person brought race up in this situation, and it wasn't Martin.

Lol@ people STILL finding a way to blame black people when white folks messed up....he wasn't forced to call him a ******....he chose that term...

Bully or no bullying, that's always up for debate. But it wouldn't surprise me at all if we start seeing the narrative change when it comes to this racism thing....whites defend other whites, its blacks who don't get the concept of defending ourselves against wrong.....

If you are trying to show the disgusting nature of the word, then yes, but the way Tarintino uses it? no.

Martin was on Edge.. They better be glad he didnt come in the locker room and start :bustback:
They players around the league probably would respect him if he did just that going by their comments. I mean it would be more manly right? Not soft. :snoop:
Football players have showed their natural ass this week with these dumb ass comments. Please don't ask them about shyt other than football because these are fukking morons :laff:

Jonathan should have just showed up with a baseball tho :mjpls:
