It's a physical sport and they, despite knowing the long term risk involved, go out and put their health, and ultimately their lives on the line every Sunday. They're seen as the modern day warriors/gladiators of society.
You're making it out to be like these dudes are at war or in the military.
@
GetInTheTruck was right earlier, it's nonsense beliefs like this that allows little boys to get raped in the locker room at Penn State. Placing football on some pedestal.
Football is not life. It's a game and a job. It's very physical for sure, and there are severe consequence s(mainly due to greed by the NFL), but there are plenty of players who don't subscribe to that NFL Locker Room nonsense and do just fine.
You think Peyton Manning is in there doing this nonsense?
Do you have any proof that this environment makes a winning team? How do you explain Schiano and the Bucs, where a bunch of players are complaining?
Provide some proof.
