not all jobs/situations are created equal.Don't care a 9 to 5 desk job to a football locker room. or an army unit, or some dude workin on oil rigs, etc.

Some of you soft fakkits that get upset when someone disagrees with you politey wouldn't have a chance making it in one of those "jobs" jsut cuz thats the type of banter that goes on all the time.

the coaches wound him up and set him loose on martin. they knew what kind of dude he was and there were no lines he wouldn't cross (outside of outright injuring the guy) to get him to "toughen up". and he probably did need some toughening up. i think it's foul if incognito takes the fall for all of this on his own, and he probably will because he doesn't come off as the type of cat that snitches, but i can guarantee you the coaches knew exactly what was going on and supported it.

anyone who's ever played sports in high school or college can cosign this type of hazing and "bullying" is in the dna of sports and coaches encourage it to some extent even though they'll say otherwise in the media. hell, even in pick up games with people you hardly know regular hazing goes on. that's part of the weird comradery of sports. you go through it and gain the respect of your teammates and also develop a tough skin. why? because guys on the other team are going to do and say far worse and you can't let them get in your head and fukc up your game.

i'll admit incognito might have taken it too far and didn't realize how emotionally fragile martin really was, but personally i feel like this is getting blown out of proportion because martin had a mental breakdown. this type of behavior, name calling and all, is par for the course on any team sport played at a high level.

i do agree with those saying if there were any signs of martin not responding to the "toughening up" or if he mentioned specific concerns about his safety to the team, then they should have done something. i just hope they don't go on some witch hunt crackdown on hazing though. if so pretty soon lingerie football will be both tougher than the nfl and more entertaining to watch.

Some Dolphins officials, the source said, believe that Incognito is being blamed unfairly but that the team was forced to suspend him once they knew that voice mails were being leaked to the public in which Incognito threatened Martin in profane and racist language. Martin is bi-racial; Incognito is white.

The source said that coaches did not specifically tell Incognito to leave Martin harassing voice mails. But, the source said, “as weird as that sounds, I think that was Incognito trying to be a team leader.”

Incognito has been supported publicly by many of his teammates, black and white. Center Mike Pouncey, who is black, lines up next to Incognito on the field and is a friend off the field.

“Pouncey and Incognito, they talk to each other that way — redneck, (n-word), it doesn’t bother the two of them. It’s how they communicate,” the source said. “They bond with one another and they were trying to bring Jonathan in the circle.”
