:smh:@you celebrating these neanderthals calling a redneck an honorary black man and blacker than a black man because the redneck is an obnoxious, uber-macho @sshole and the black man is Ivy league educated and comes from a family 3 generations deep as Harvard grads. :snoop:

Are you going to ever answer my question about whether you're black or not btw?
Dog....a white writer pulled that interpretation out their ass though. No player called him an honorary black man

Dog...coaches send alpha males period to do that job. Philbin is stupid for choosing an over the top blowhard.
You have to send a Black alpha dog on the team though. You have to know your personnel. I agree with you Philbin completely fukked up, but I am sure that Philbin will act like he had no idea that Incognito would call Martin a ******.

"Richie is honarary," one player who left the Dolphins this offseason told me today. "I don't expect you to understand because you're not black. But being a black guy, being a brother is more than just about skin color. It's about how you carry yourself. How you play. Where you come from. What you've experienced. A lot of things."
What in the hell is going on in that locker room :dwillhuh:

an "honorary black man" :dead: you cant make this up

Dog....Philbin showed he's not smart since Hard knocks when Regrie and them sat down with him and discussed the leadership void. Dude was an idiot for putting it on someone like incognito.

1) I don't necessarily think using a racial slur (ESPECIALLY how Incognito used it, but even otherwise) automatically = racist. But that's just me, everyone is obviously entitled to their own opinion.

2) That's the thing, his JOB was about to be taken from him. He has other mental issues and was probably going to be put on the NFI list and not paid his salary for the rest of the season once the meltdown happened. Rather than call it what it was, which is a mentally soft player coming to the realization that he can't handle the NFL (again, nothing wrong with that, the NFL isn't for everybody) game and that it was taking an enormous mental toll on his psyche, he used the team and Incognito as a scapegoat. And what do you know, just yesterday, the Dolphins decided to not put Martin on the NFI list because of the ongoing investigation, so he'll continue to get paid.
:what:

Shut your cac ass up. You been in this thread projecting left and right.

-You know as much as we do about Jonathan Martin's mental state.
-The usage of ****** in any context is not acceptable, i like how cacs such as yourself move the goalposts when it comes to usage of this word
-Could he have stood up for himself in the locker room? Sure. But he decided to go about it the best way HE thought he could.

Honestly I didn't think I had to qualify because I thought it was obvious but at times I forget this is the Internet where things aren't understood like if we are face to face. I only called you obtuse at the time because that's how it came off to me esp when you switched the scenario around from being me being the person who it was said to, to one that I'm saying it to someone who may/may not think the same way as me. That probably came from me not be clear and Ill take that mistake on my part but I don't feel/see it that way now. It's more of a misunderstanding now that could have been prevented but hey it happens.

You said, " think about it, if a bum calls you out your name you probably think nothing of it because hes beneath you," and then go off of that as your reasoning as to why responding to disrespect equates to you admitting the other person has power over you.

You spoke in absolutes, when you only meant to speak of your belief and how you would react to the situation. But you dont matter in this situation and your belief isnt an axiom. So, yes you shouldve qualified your statement.

how the hell does this work?

wtf, this some weak shiit
isn't cool to whom, though? it may not be cool to you or me, but truth be told, our opinions on the matter are irrelevant. It's private interactions between two people. If that's how they communicate and neither of them find it uncomfortable or crossing the line, then who am I to tell them otherwise? Think Incognito is getting a raw deal, but the fact that his private communications with someone were made public, leaves him open to scrutiny. So I have no problem with them cutting him. This is the risk you take when you have a friendship like that, that could be misconstrued by outsiders.

When is "half ******" ever cool? Am I from another planet. That isn't a joke to me. Is Incognito getting a raw deal? Yea... The media is a motherfukker though.

That's what pisses me off about Stephen A talking all this black community like we all hang together exclusively. I understand where SAS is coming from...but he doesnt understand how things work now in days outside of the hood. Obvi incognito showed the environment where it's cool and everything is equal. Why would incognito go to a club in the hood where brothas are over reactionary about everything and brothas always wanting to get something out the trunk? My black ass don't even go there just like I won't go to a redneck biker bars where conservative thought is highly prevalent.

I'm 27 and I still prefer college bars in college towns....everything else seems to rigid to me. Get drunk, hi five people, talk to some women etc and 9/10 drama free and nobody getting shot.

huh? I was laughing at the headline of the story and how much of a damn mess this is becoming.

and no, I'm not black. I'm a brown Muslim man, so before you hit me with the "oh, well you're not qualified to speak on this, then", I've dealt with as much overt racism as anyone in this thread.

the parents seem like calculating ambulance chasers that know they mainstream media will back them....
Man shut the fukk up with these dumb Rush Limbaugh talking points. Who actually says "ambulance chasers" in real life? :heh:

I'm sure his parents coached him and guided him on how to handle it because they were lawyers, like any lawyer does when their close friends and families are in a legal bind. But why the hell would two rich Harvard-educated lawyers with a rich son in the NFL do this for money? They're not lacking for anything.

Ah, so after telling black people what they're supposed to offended by and what and constitutes racism against black people for 3 days straight, you finally admit you're not black when pressed, as if it wasn't obvious in the first place. :deadmanny:
