Another underachieving season for texas on the court. UT could be doing way more damage w/ recruiting on the AAU hoops scene, but texas's biggest problem is Barnes cant get these kids to stop losing

UT has all the resources and funding it needs to be good at hoops, has lots of connections, has a good facility. Watch out if they go after wichita state's coach. Kansas will be knocked off the big 12 top perch.
That was my first thought upon reading this thread. No way Texas AD missing out on Wichita State's coach

He's been awful for a long time. There was an interview years ago where he said something along the lines that their goal was to prepare players for the pros, not win games. Couldn't look at him the same after that. :scust:
Yeah, dude, he should have been fired 5+ years ago
This man should have been gone a long time ago....all the talent he's had over the years :camby:
Yeah, I remember when I was in undergrad and thought he was trash. I graduated back in 2008

TJ Ford bought that man a decade's worth of Checks

:scust:This man couldn't get to the Sweet 16 with Kevin Durant and DJ Augustin on the same squad. Marinate on that.

They were both freshman and lost to Nick Young/Taj Gibson who were older first round picks. I don't really hold that against him.

But he is a chronic underachiever

Fair point, but I would counter by saying that he had too much talent to not be a top-3 seed in their quarter of the bracket. I believe they were a 4 or 5 that year and could have realistically avoided a team like the one in they lost to in the Rd of 32 if they didn't underperform during the regular season.
