Look at the evolution of the center in the past say decade or so. Gone is the big paint clogging center todays centers are 6'8/6'9 on average and better athletes. Yes its good to have some post ability to use in a pinch but its more important to have a big who can pass out of the point to the open man or take advantage of mismatches.
