I'm not clicking the article because I'm almost sure it's only discussing him having 5 # 1s

I'm talking about impact homie

When has ross changed the game up?
What impact has he had on the rap game?

Only one I can think of, is him holding the door for more MC Gusto's

I'm done. You want to argue a point with smileys, yet won't read a relevant article. Impact? Dude has consistently made #1 albums that have went Gold. He's impacting listeners. It's still impact. Ross hasn't been an just another rapper taking up space in Hip Hop, his past four years in Hip Hop have been pretty big from appearing on albums with legends like Nas and Jay Z to holding his own alongside legends like G. Rap. He's assisted Meek Mill and Wale to launching or re-launching their careers in the mainstream. No it's not game changing (that's legend status caliber MC's), but it's still impact. Ross has had the streets in spite of the whole C.O. stigma attached to him.

Ross isn't a game changer but he's the most consistent MC personally and musically. Plus he offers other artists legitimate opportunities to eat. I think he signs people he believes in and actually likes versus if they're hot or not. I think out of EVERYONE in rap he's the best when it comes to being a team player and actually trying to add value to the community with his music. He sticks with good old r&b and hip hop. He never had to do a crossover pop record to try to reach another demographic, nor did he ever feel like he had to just to do it. He sticks with the same formula and picks top tier beats. His team is diversified and solid and rides for who he picks. No matter how big he gets or what he goes through he never switched up. Except for his lies he's been exposed for I'd say, coming from the perspective of a true artist he's the best. He never had to be super lyrical or diverse subject matter yet he makes a consistent product and has secured a solid fan base. Without selling millions and doing world tours he is sought out by his higher caliber hip hop peers to give their music the Ross touch. While people praise Drake for his stimulus package Ross provides a vibe that only he can give. I am not a Ross fan and have never owned an album or been to a show. I really never liked him and cringe at the Big comparisons. But the facts are the facts. He came in with no major cosigns almost a decade ago with no sharp rises in popularity or a decline. He's not a megastar but he is just as necessary to the history of the game as anyone you'd consider a legend. No matter how he got to where he is, he's still here when other rappers would've folded. Because of his lies I can't say I respect him thoroughly but anyone can respect his commitment and consistency to his craft of being a MC. Plus I can tell even to this day he enjoys being apart of the game and it seems like he's just glad to be where he's at. He's hungry for more and steadily gets there through work and persistence vs attempts at mass popularity. He has flaws and there's lots of questionable shyt but what rapper doesn't. He deserves his spot 100%.

The bad part about this list is that Ross sticks out like a sore thumb as the only artist who doesn't have a universal classic to his name:heh:....and make no mistake,Eminem makes the worst material out of anybody on the entire list but even he had Slim Shady LP:manny:...If Ross don't got one by now its looking like he bout to go out the game without a ring:mjlol:

You talking in circles breh

When has he changed the game?

Jay, Nas, Em, Pac, Ye, & even X changed the game up or had a huge impact on how the rap game moves forward.

Meek & Wale??? :shaq2: I won't even entertain that shyt

Went from having his highest selling first week with GFID to have his lowest with Mastermind within that 4 year span you wanna talk about.

So the Ross fans are pumping this up and the Ross haters are devaluing it?

:what: Reading is fundamental. Re-read my post. I said game changing is something that legends do. You really think Ross is a legend? :laff: at Ross's detractors really want people to make an argument for Ross being in the same echelon as Jay, Nas, Em, Pac, Ye, and yes even X.

Wale went from having an album (released by Interscope I might add) and it flopping to having a successful album on MMG. "That Way" featuring Ross was a catalyst in that album's success. It was on the first MMG compilation before it was on the album. Same goes for "I'm A Boss" which was a catalyst for Meek Mill's success.

How many artists consistently do the same numbers first week? There's a number of artist whose first week sales fell off in a shorter span (which includes some of the artists you listed). :camby:
