Seems too early to start promoting and dropping "singles" for a new album, when we all know good and damn well it's not dropping for at minimum like 5 or 6 months from now....just seems counterproductive to me, because by the time you start doing REAL promo for the real album rollout people will have already started to have promo-fatigue...after so long shyt becomes white noise and people start zoning you out....granted I'm completely making all of this up based on absolutely nothing but I personally feel lol, but there would seem to be a law of diminishing returns in effect as far as album promotion goes...quick, efficient promo blitzes in the immediate short term before a set in stone hard release date (Beyonce and Jay's MCHG rollout) seem to be waaay more effective at generating anticipation and buzz than this "release singles for a project that you're not even finished making, with no idea whatsoever when it'll be released, and with a good chance the song won't even actually be on the album when it officially is released" shyt
