This. Rihanna has the same problem too I'm guessing. They release 2-3 decent singles and the rest of the album is trash and then the album dies and they remake another within the year.
Artists given up on albums and are just making a good single...at best.
This is why GKMC was so dope, it was a good album!

Ross stays on his grind constantly. 2008-2012 he dropped 4 solo albums and an album quality mixtape plus Triple C's and two Self Made compilations that he was all over. And he wasn't pumping out trash; most of the material was good. That's most crucial. As long as the material is solid it's smart for him to keep his name out there. The dude's nearly 40. Besides Jay, Nas and Em how many rappers have remained relevant into their 40s? Best to cash in while he still can.
